Description
You can smell it
It has freshly rained and the water has released new smells in the air. Here is a great example of a walk in the woods. You can hear the frogs and cricket noise fill the air. Up ahead you see where the forest breaks and the light is revealed again. Water is still on the ground. Letting light spill into the thick of the forest where you are. Breaks in light through the forest canopy are showing through. Light plays heavily in” walk in the woods”.
You can see it
A great deal of my work on landscapes has a lot to do with light. Whether I am learning a new technique or creating a fresh piece on my own, I make sure to always consider lighting. Here the lighting adds that dramatic flair that you need to capture attention, with the break of light streaming past the darkness of the blackish tree limbs. I had to layer this piece to achieve that. Layering is very important. It drives this piece’s active sense of interest.
You can dress it up
This piece can add to the elegance of any room. It’s suggestive light and dark play bring interest into any room and draw the eye. It reflects the moment it is meant to capture quite well. A moment where nature has been super active and freshened up the air and is alive with chirps of frogs and crickets. I elevates the room with a touch of impressionism and intrigue. Here is the rendering without a frame. If you would like to include a frame, that would be additional shipping and handling.
