Just in time

Just about the time the sun sets across the water from you, you see the magical blend of colors it has produced to say goodnight. Almost silhouetting the trees out, this wonderful cascade of purples to reds leads to a warm feeling inside. Red sky by night, sailor’s delight. Red sky by morn, Sailor take warn.

It was a magic moment

The moment this sunset was created was magic for me. It allowed me to struggle with clouds at a level I have not yet. I felt accomplished as I fished these clouds. I can see the lighting and how it plays into every part of this painting. From the sky down to the tree line and water reflections. This magic moment really showed up well in this painting. I enjoyed scratching in tree lines and playing with the water’s reflections.
